Mars Candy Company introduced their original 3 Musketeers candy bar in 1932, though its initial form differed significantly from what we know and love today. Back then, three distinct flavors – chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry – each with their wrapper were sold; chocolate was the most popular and eventually became its sole offering! A fun fact about this treat: its initial version only weighed 1/3 of an ounce and cost just 5 cents!
In 1945, chocolate became so wildly popular that it completely replaced its two rival flavors of the 3 Musketeers Bars. It quickly rose in popularity due to its distinctive whipped, fluffy, and creamy texture, made possible thanks to a nougat center composed of egg whites, sugar, and corn syrup whipped together until light and airy.
Mars launched their 3 Musketeers Mint candy bar in the 1980s to acclaim among candy enthusiasts. Though limited edition, many people still look forward to its return. More recently 2018, another version was introduced – 3 Musketeers Birthday Cake, complete with rainbow-colored sprinkles and vanilla nougat filling for festive birthday treats or celebrations!
The 3 Musketeers candy bar has undergone several transformations.
It began with 2015’s redesign that gave it a brighter and more colorful wrapper design and included new exciting flavors like orange mint raspberry. All this was made possible thanks to colored flavor stripes added onto its wrapper.
The 3 Musketeers candy bar has become iconic since its debut in 1932.
Although its form and flavors have undergone various transformations, its soft, fluffy, creamy texture remains popular with candy fans. Now, generations later, its fame will only continue to increase!
